Introduction
The Chatham Aeronauts is a not for profit club located in Chatham, Ontario.
Membership is open to anyone interested in flying RC Models.
We currently have 1 flying field as outlined in the “Flying Sites” tab.
Annual membership varies from 20 to 30 members.
Fees and membership application forms are outlined below.
Visitors
Anyone interested in RC models is welcome to visit our field or attend one of our meetings. The flying field is most active on the weekends. Many pilots post their intention to fly in the “shout box”. Check it out for current information.
Meetings
Meeting information is posted in the Chat Box and are usually held on the last Tuesday of each month.

Instruction
We have several qualified instructors for both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.
Instruction is available for free to all student pilots.
Instruction is geared to the individual while following the MAAC wings program.
Once a pilot has completed the training program and won their “wings” they are qualified to fly solo at any MAAC chartered club across Canada.
Annual Fun Fly
Our club organizes an RC model fly-in during the summer every year.
This event is held at the Club flying field.

Community Demonstrations
Periodically throughout the year we participate in static displays and flying demonstrations in support of various community groups.
We have also been active in assisting local teachers in presenting information about the theory of flight to their students.
Requirements for flying models .
You must be a member of the club Aeronauts application
Dues can be paid by cash, cheque or EMT to the treasurer , or by PayPal.
To fly members must also belong to MAAC https://secure.maac.ca/members/en/join.php
To fly members must also have an RPAS license and register their models
